About this Venue

The Hindu Center of Charlotte (HCCLT) is a vibrant spiritual center dedicated to serving the Hindu community in the greater Charlotte, North Carolina area. Our temple provides a sacred space for worship, cultural education, and community gatherings.

We offer a wide range of religious services, educational programs for children and adults, cultural events, and community outreach activities. Our mission is to preserve and promote Hindu culture, traditions, and values while fostering unity and understanding within our diverse community.

The Hindu Center of Charlotte was established in the early 1980s by a small but dedicated group of Hindu families who had settled in the Charlotte area. Recognizing the need for a formal place of worship and cultural congregation, the founding members came together with a shared vision of creating a spiritual home away from home.

Over the decades, HCCLT has grown from a modest gathering space into a full-fledged temple complex at 7400 City View Drive. The temple has been consecrated with traditional Vedic ceremonies and houses several deities, providing Charlotte's Hindu community with an authentic place of devotion.

Today, HCCLT serves thousands of devotees from across the Carolinas, celebrating major Hindu festivals, conducting daily pujas, and running educational programs that connect younger generations with their cultural heritage.
