Rimpa Siva Live

Join us for an evening with Rimpa Siva, considered as one of India's leading Tabla players.  She learned the Tabla, starting at a very young age, under the guidance of her father, Pandit Swapan Siva, a senior exponent of the Farukkhabad Gharana.  Rimpa excels in her mastery of the instrument and has dominated the Indian classical music stage across India and abroad with scintillating performances, both as a soloist and an accompanist.  Today she is considered as one of the best Tabla artists of her time, not to say one of the best female Tabaliyas.

Musikala is proud to host her Tabla solo concert on August 15 from 6 - 8 pm at the India Cultural and Spiritual Center (formerly India School) in Chantilly VA.  She will be accompanied on the harmonium by Shri Arun Ramakrishnan.  Prior to the concert, she will also be conducting a workshop for Tabla students in the DMV area, starting at 3 pm.  Doors for the workshop open at 2:45 pm and for the concert at 5:30 pm.
