Why ?
“Dharma” stands for that which holds up or supports the existence of a thing. It is the essential nature of a thing, without which it cannot exist. It is the law of being. It is a non-translatable and commonly misinterpreted as religion.
What is our Dharma ? What is my essential nature? What is the goal of life ? How can I be victorious in life? How can I be unconditionally happy ? Why do we chase happiness in external objects, when the real treasures lies within us ? How do we turn our pursuits inwards to access these treasures? What are the rites of passage or internal/external practices or Samskaras that help us navigate the different stages of life – childhood, student life, marriage, retirement etc., as we move towards our goal? How do i practice the art of living, managing our mind as found in our Shastras?
Our Rishis and the Guru-Shishya tradition have studied, taught, preserved, lived by Dharma and meditated on this ancient time tested knowledge of the self for over thousands of years.
This Dharma Samvadam Retreat provides an opportunity to hear, study and seek answers directly from the source.
