Geeta Rabari is coming to America — Get Ready for Garba like Never Before!

If you’ve ever been moved by a folk song that feels like home, danced to a beat that echoes the sands of Kutch, or felt chills when a voice rises like a prayer — you know Geeta Rabari.

Affectionately called Geeta Ben and hailed as the Kutchi Koel (Nightingale of Kutch), she’s not just a singer — she’s a cultural force. And this August and September, she’s bringing her magic to the USA with a power-packed Garba tour that’s set to light up cities from Kentucky to New Jersey.

So dust off your chaniya, charge your dandiyas, and get ready — because when Geeta Rabari sings, the whole world dances.

From a Village in Kutch to the Heart of India

Born on December 31, 1996, in the tiny village of Tappar, Kutch, Geeta Rabari’s journey is nothing short of inspiring.

She didn’t grow up on stage lights or recording studios — she grew up with the rhythm of folk songs, the spirit of tradition, and a voice that seemed destined to be heard.

Her breakthrough came with Rona Sher Ma — a song that didn’t just go viral, it made history.

It became the first Gujarati song ever to cross 500 million views on YouTube — a landmark moment that put Geeta on the map and brought Gujarati folk music to the global stage.

And it wasn’t just fans who noticed.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi personally praised her soul-stirring bhajan Shree Ram Ghar Aaye, calling it "emotional and heart-touching", and sharing it with millions on social media. Now that’s recognition.

A Voice That Bridges Generations

Geeta’s music is deeply rooted — in folk, tradition, and rural Gujarat — but it’s also wildly modern. She blends rustic melodies with contemporary beats, making her songs resonate with grandparents and Gen Z alike.

Whether she’s singing:

The foot-tapping Chhote Raja

The romantic Mari Janu Mane Bhuli Jay

Or the festive favorite Ras Ramva Ne Vevai Na

…her voice carries emotion, power, and pride.

And she’s not just a Garba star — she’s crossed into Bollywood too! She lent her voice to the hit song Rangilo Maro Dholna in Patel Ki Punjabi Shaadi, composed by Sachin-Jigar, proving her versatility knows no bounds.

Geeta Rabari’s 2025 US Garba Tour: Celebrating Culture across America
