Carnatic 2.0 is an experimental project founded by Mahesh Raghvan that attempts to present Carnatic compositions in a modern style that would appeal to the young and modern audiences of today.
In this piece, Mahesh along with the very talented violinist, Shravan Sridhar creates some brilliant fusion of different Ragas of Carnatic music along with various western elements that portray creativity at its very best!
Mahesh Raghvan is a Carnatic Music Fusion artist who is known for his experiments with Classical Music. He has been trained in Carnatic Vocal Music and Keyboards for more than 15 years. His experiments with Carnatic Music on the iPad have gathered millions of views on YouTube and Facebook and have been featured by plenty of media publishers.
He looks forward to presenting Indian Classical Music through innovative ways and means and is known for his contemporary take on a lot of Carnatic music pieces. He is the Creative Director of Indian Raga, and also works with major music technology companies to make Indian Classical Music playable on their hardware/software.

Shravan Sridhar has been trained in Indian Carnatic vocals and violin for a combined 19 years, he is equally at ease with a myriad of genres like blues, country, rock and roll, electronica,western classical and even metal. He has been part of the famed Airtel Super Singer in which he has performed with legends such as Rajesh Vaidhya, Stephan Devassy, Keba Jeramiah, Karthik Devaraj, Nivas Prasanna. He has played for various bands in both the Chennai and Bangalore independent music scene.
His Violin + DJ act has been in high demand in leading clubs (365 - Hyatt, Blend – Taj clubhouse and others) and other corporate/private events in Chennai. He has done multiple short film scores and is one of the most sought-after violinists in South India for live/recording sessions. Together, Mahesh and Shravan present modern fusion renditions of popular Carnatic Music repertoire, and also their own take on contemporary pop music.
