Event Details We would like to welcome you all to a once in a lifetime opportunity for all of you to revel in an enchanting performance. Gana Gandharvan, Dr. K.J. Yesudas will be performing in Rogers, Arkansas on July 26th. Proceeds from the event go towards supporting local charitable organizations like Chinmaya Mission Bentonville, Indian Cultural Association of NWA (ICANWA) and STEM Ozarks. Dr. Yesudas is one of the biggest icons in Indian music arena. He has sung more than 50,000 songs, has received the UNESCO award for "Outstanding achievement in Music and Peace" and has won the maximum national awards as a singer. For the first time, an Indian icon of his stature is performing in NWA, which makes this the grandest Indian event till date! Apart from mesmerizing music, this grand event has also has a great cause. The funds generated by this event will support Chinmaya Mission, ICANWA and STEM. All of these are non-profit organizations contributing to our local NWA community. Chinmaya Mission has been doing a stupendous job in imparting a strong value system in the Indian children of NWA. Regular Sunday classes all year round and other scheduled activities meticulously groom the children from a very young age as they graduate into college. Benefits are clearly being felt by our next generation and their parents. As the community grows bigger, Chinmaya Mission would need our support to continue their service to our local community. ICANWA is responsible for conducting various Indian cultural events in NWA all year round. This helps in maintaining a healthy cultural ecosystem which forms the basis of our local community development. "Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics" (STEM) as fields of study for the local NWA children.
