About this Venue

1. Live performances (concerts, comedy, and theater) -The Granada seeks to have a regular schedule of concerts featuring top local talent as well as national acts offering a wide variety of music including rock, country, folk, etc. who are seeking smaller, more intimate venues to connect with audiences more personally, at a reasonable cost. MHGPS wants the Granada to be the epicenter of live music for the South Silicon Valley. Similarly, stand-up comedy nights and other live performance events will be pursued. 2. Cinema -The Granada will be a great place to see movies. We have completed a retrofit to theater #1 with a 9.2 surround sound system and a modern HD digital projector to update the viewing experience to modern standards. We will run a variety of films on a regular basis including oldies, art films, special interest showings (supporting special events or groups), run film festivals, and show live streamed events of all sorts. In short, we believe the Granada can become the center of entertainment in not only Morgan Hill but in the South County. An "entertainment hub" that attracts people downtown, keeps people downtown, and therefore helps downtown businesses (dining, bars, shopping, etc.).

3. Community Service, Non-Profit Partners and Private “Rented Space” Events -The Granada team is in communication with churches to host Sunday services in the theater. We seek referrals to host special event fundraisers in conjunction with other non-profits in order to partner in helping them achieve their goals, have programming with a built in audience (promoted by the partner non-profit) and reach as much of the community as possible. We are planning to benchmark a Youth Empowerment program implemented by another non-profit theater company in order to offer internships and training to high school aged youth in Morgan Hill as well. The Granada may also be rented for business meetings, private parties, etc. Any computer-generated presentation can be shown on the ‘big screen’ and there is WIFI and internet access too. We are a long-term non-profit corporation and have formed strategic alliances with various organizations and businesses that will help or have helped to make the Granada a success. The Granada will provide a uniquely Morgan Hill experience tailored to our community. We are a small town and plan to embrace what that means for our community from a programming perspective. We intend to have a wide array of entertainment options housed at the Granada so there is something for everyone, always tasteful.

What are the parking options at Granada Theater?

Parking is available in Lots A, B, F, G, H & I. Prices range from $5 to $30 depending on the event. Suite & VIP parking there is located on the south side of the building via the 2nd 183A Entrance, past the marquee. All methods of payment are accepted at Granada Theater for all self-park & valet lots.
When is the box office open in Granada Theater?

Regular Hours - Monday - Friday 10:00 am - 6:00 pm, weekend hours vary per event. For event box office hours, please visit Granada Theater event tickets can be purchased through Sulekha.
Are children allowed Granada Theater?

Ticket Requirements: For all ticketed events, all Granada Theater patrons must present a ticket for entry, except for those patrons younger than two (2) years of age. However, children under two years of age must sit on the lap of an accompanying ticket-bearing adult. For some family/kids events ages, one (1) and up must be accompanied by a ticket.

Can I get an autograph or meet the artist in Granada Theater?

The Granada Theater, as a rental facility, is not in a position to contact or interfere with artist or artist management regarding autographs or special meet and greet requests. From time to time, artist management will arrange these opportunities, and if available, the Granada Theater will include that as part of standard event information.
Can I take event photos or videos in Granada Theater?

The use of photographic or sound recording devices, including film and digital cameras, digital video recorders, cell phones, and/or other visual or audio recording devices is a violation of copyright law and is strictly prohibited. Patrons using these devices during a performance may be asked to leave the theatre. No refunds will be issued. In certain instances, patrons may be asked to delete photographs.

In addition, light and noise disturbances can hinder the enjoyment of any performance. Out of the consideration and safety of performers and fellow patrons, the use of cell phones is strictly forbidden during all shows. This includes the use of phones for texting or photographic purposes. Individuals caught using their cell phones may be asked to leave the theatre.
