We are a 501 (c)(3) non-profit volunteer-based organization, that operates with the mission of creating awareness of the Indian culture by teaching the Hindi language in Louisville, KY. We presently have 91 students enrolled in our school run weekly at Zachary Taylor Elementary School (affiliated to Jefferson County Public Schools System), Our students are taught across 6 different levels by more than 20 volunteer teachers. There are no paid workers or officers of the school, and the small school fees collected is used for payment of rent, insurance, books, supplies and community events.
- Our main aim is to promote Hindi at the grass-root level by teaching students of all ages, religious and ethnic background.
- We are affiliated with HindiUSA, which imparts Hindi learning to more than 4,000 students in the United States through more than 20 affiliated schools
- We have six different levels of Hindi course; all levels have their own tested syllabus, books, teaching materials, and programs. Syllabus information for each level can be obtained from http://www.hindiusa.info/home/syllabus
