About this Venue

The school is an amalgamation of two independent schools in the Six Points neighborhood, Michael Power High School (an all male school started by the Basilian Fathers in 1957) and St. Joseph Islington High School (an all female school led by the Sisters of St. Joseph in 1949) with the two schools amalgamated in 1982 officially. In 1993, Michael Power • St. Joseph moved west and north to the former site of Vincent Massey Collegiate Institute on Eringate Drive.

It is the largest high school in all of the Toronto Catholic District School Board with 69 students in the 2013-14 year and the second largest in Toronto. MPSJ is ranked 32 out of 725 in the 2011-12 Fraser Institute report card with a 8.9 rating.

What are the parking options at Michael Power-St. Joseph High School?

Parking is available in Lots A, B, F, G, H & I. Prices range from $5 to $30 depending on the event. Suite & VIP parking there is located on the south side of the building via the 2nd 183A Entrance, past the marquee. All methods of payment are accepted at Michael Power-St. Joseph High School for all self-park & valet lots.

Ticket Requirements: For all ticketed events, all Michael Power-St. Joseph High School patrons must present a ticket for entry, except for those patrons younger than two (2) years of age. However, children under two years of age must sit on the lap of an accompanying ticket-bearing adult. For some family/kids events ages, one (1) and up must be accompanied by a ticket.

In addition, light and noise disturbances can hinder the enjoyment of any performance. Out of the consideration and safety of performers and fellow patrons, the use of cell phones is strictly forbidden during all shows. This includes the use of phones for texting or photographic purposes. Individuals caught using their cell phones may be asked to leave the theatre.
