Deobrat Mishra is an Indian Sitar, Surbahar and a music composer. He is an exponent of the Benares Gharana school of Hindustani classical music. The Son of Pandit Shivnath Mishra, a legend of Sitar from this gharana, He represents the 7th generation of the Benares Gharana tradition. Born in 1976, he started playing the Sitar at the age of 6 years old, and had his first public performance only 6 months after starting. He has been touring, performing, and teaching since.
