Clinton to deliver keynote address at TANA 2007

Former President Bill Clinton will deliver the inaugural keynote address at the Telugu Association of North America’s (TANA) 2007 Business forum: Destination AP - Capitalizing On A Flat World.  The event will be held July 5 to 7, 2007 at the Washington Convention Center in Washington DC.
 
With a list of  keynote speakers/panelists that includes Mr. Chandrababu Naidu (the former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh), Sri Sri Ravi Sankar ("The Art of Living"), Vikram Akula (TIME 2006 list of 100 most influential people on the planet), Janaki Akella (McKinsey, Silicon Valley), Srini Akkaraju (2006 & 2007 Forbes Midas List of top venture capitalists), Raj Alur (President, TiE Boston), etc... this year's event is shaping up to be the biggest & best Business Forum in the history of TANA. In addition to the keynote addresses, the Business Seminar includes panels on Biotech/Pharma/Healthcare, IT/Outsourcing, and Infrastructure/Real Estate featuring some of the prominent business and technology leaders amongst the NRI Telugus as well those from AP.

For those who are not familiar, the Telugus hail from the south Indian state of Andhra Pradesh.  More than 25% of all Information Technology talent from India in the US originates from the state of Andhra Pradesh (there are more than 300,000 Telugus in the US). The US Presidents, George Bush and Bill Clinton; the Google Founders, Larry Page & Sergey Brin; the Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates & CEO Steve Ballmer; the Motorola CEO, Ed Zander and many other global business & technology leaders have visited Hyderabad, the state Capital, during the past few years.

Telugu Association of North America (TANA) is an organization of people of Telugu origin residing in North America. TANA was formed to preserve and propagate the Telugu cultural heritage and maintain the identity of people of Telugu origin and to provide a forum for Telugu literary, cultural, educational, social, and charitable interactions among its members. Founded in 1977, it is one of the oldest Indo-American national level organizations with more than 10,000 members.
