Chinmaya Mission Alpharetta presents Yuva Rhythms [Live], a contemporary devotional music experience, presented by the youth. Ancient compositions, bhajans, and shlokas meet new-age soundscapes and arrangements in this musical presentation of the modern day bhakti movement. Whether through soul searching melodies of a seeker's queries, the fast-paced tunes on the enchanting Goddess, or the heart-wrenching appeal to one's Guru, Yuva Rhythms is a journey of re-discovery that kindles the spirit and awakens the divine in us.
Conceived, produced, and performed by Chinmaya Mission youth, or CHYKs, the show blends music, education, and devotion, primarily featuring songs from the Yuva Rhythms album series. The music spans a myriad of genres, from Indian classical to jazz and blues, psychedelic rock to regional folk, and all sorts in between, while all the compositions – based on Sanskrit stotras, classical compositions, or even original lyrics – are rooted in rich heritage. Yuva Rhythms [Live] brings people of all ages, cultures, and traditions together in the spirit of devotion and musical expression, and proves to be a delight for all.
