Event Details An interactive discussion with Sooryagayathri as part of Art Heals, which is now in its sixth week. She will be joining us live tomorrow (Sunday, May 3rd) at 7 p.m. IST. She hails from the village of Purameri in Vadakara, North Kerala and is undergoing formal training in Carnatic music under Smt. Anandi and Sri.Nishanth. Sri. Kuldeep M. Pai has been her mentor for music and also on the spiritual front and has helped her navigate her role as an artiste who performs globally. His videos on several social media platforms featuring Sooryagayathri as the main singer in the spiritual musical series ‘Vande Guru Paramparaam’ have been receiving rave reviews ever since its inception. Owing to this, she can account for a total viewership of more than 150 million people on YouTube. Sooryagayathri has received the M.S Subbulakshmi Fellowship for Music from Sri Shanmukhananda Fine Arts & Sangeetha Sabha, Mumbai in 2016, the Trivandram Kalanidhi Sangeeth Rathna award and the Samaj Sakthi Award in 2017 with her Guru Kuldeep Pai from Shree Hariharaputra Bhajan Samaj, Mumbai. Sooryagayathri has performed Bhajan concerts all over India and abroad, in the countries of South Africa, Australia, Dubai, Qatar, Bahrain, Singapore and more. Her father Sri. P.V.
