Assoaciation of Los Angeles Physicians of Indian Origin details
PREAMBLE:
The organization is formed with the goal to provide a platform for physicians of South Asian origin to gather for educational, recreational, social and philanthropic purposes.
Even though the term “Indian Origin” is mentioned in the name of the organization, it also encompasses physicians from the entire Indian Sub-continent geographic region.
The term “Physician” includes those trained in the allopathic, osteopathic, and naturopathic and ayurvedic disciplines among others.
ARTICLE: 1- NAME:
The name of the organization shall be the Association of Los Angeles Physicians of Indian Origin and shall also be known as ALAPIO.
The organization shall maintain an office or a governing hub as per the consensual decision of the Working Committee.
ARTICLE: 2 - OBJECTIVES
ALAPIO is organized for scientific, educational, cultural and charitable purposes to: Conduct seminars and other educational programs to acquaint members of new scientific developments in the field of medicine and associated disciplines.
Support and foster the availability of medical assistance to indigent people in the Local Communities, through the organization and execution of a free, volunteer physician, service and referral base.
Make contributions to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under Section 501(c) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 or the corresponding provision of any future United States Internal Revenue Law.
Provide mutual understanding and cooperation between this organization and other medical societies in the United States and India.
Provide other member services as needed.
ARTICLE: 3 - DURATION OF SERVICE & DATE:
At the beginning of each calendar year, and not to surpass a date later than January 31st of any year, the General Membership shall nominate a working committee of at least 7 members to conduct the business of the organization.
The committee members shall, by consensus, nominate a working Chairperson who shall conduct meetings.
Responsibilities for various functionalities of the organization shall be mutually distributed among the members of the committee.
The Working Committee, from time to time, may nominate and expand the committee as per the needs of any individual projects.
Such ad hoc committee members shall cease to be members of the Working Committee upon the completion of the project(s) they were nominated for.

Sulekha’s free iOS and Android apps are easily available on App Store and Play Store to download. This can be used to check guests in and has a built-in scanner that will allow you to scan tickets upon entry. This will automatically mark your guests off as arrived for reporting purposes.
Once your event is published and starts booking go to your Organizer dashboard and then Reports to view detailed reports and analytics of your attendees, orders, and tickets. You can view them from your account or export them onto your device.
Yes! Sulekha gives you the flexibility to customize your event in accordance with your desire. You can also customize your organization profile in line with your company’s profile. Upload company banners, and logos in respective fields while setting up your event and organization profile to reflect your company’s branding.
