Event Details Performances of the Traditional Kathak SoloFeaturing Seibi Lee and Rina MehtaCo-presented by the Lamont School of Music at the University of DenverThe traditional kathak solo is a tour-de-force performance of dance, music, poetry and storytelling based in a rich artistic philosophy that extends thousands of years. Unproduced, highly interactive and in large part improvised, the traditional solo is kathak dance in its most raw and unadulterated form.Join us for an evening featuring solo performances by Seibi Lee and Rina Mehta, two senior disciples of legendary kathak master Pandit Chitresh Das, accompanied by Sri Debashis Sarkar (vocals), Sri Jayanta Banerjee (sitar) and Satyaprakash Mishra (tabla).
