Heritage Of India Festival

Heritage of India Festival gets you to experience the beauty, colors, rhythms, sound, flavors and dances of India in Westchester County. 

IACAW (Indian American Cultural Association of Westchester) in collaboration with Westchester county government and Westchester county parks department brings the exquisite Heritage of India festival 2018 to Westchester County. 

Join us at the premiere event of the Asian Indian community in Westchester and experience the sights, sounds, and taste of the Indian culture like never before. This is an opportunity to reach the fastest growing ethnic group in the tri-state area.  This is the 19^th year that the Heritage of India fair is being held at the Kensico dam plaza and this year’s theme is Indian Musical Instruments.  The festival is brought to the community by dedicated volunteers who are proud to present the core elements of the rich and eclectic blend of Indian culture, and share it with their American counterparts.  Each region in India has a cuisine, culture and art form which is very unique to the region.  The festival features artistes, who showcase the art and dance forms from these various region. The cuisine that is presented also is representative of the food from different parts of India.  The unique and excellent blend of vendors, artistes and the wonderful food has seen the attendance grow year after year.  In 2017 the crowd was over 10,000 people and the estimate for 2018 is even higher.
