Many non-profit youth organizations such as Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts of Houston, as well as local 4-H, FFA, and FHA groups use our facility on a regular basis. One of the most cherished events each year is "Special Children's Day." Law enforcement agencies such as the Harris County Sheriff's Department, Texas Department of Public Safety and the Houston Police Mounted Patrol also enjoy the use of our facility. We are host to various Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo functions.
We have two large air conditioned buildings. The Salt Grass Trail Building features a kitchen area and beautiful gazebo. McAnelly Hall sports a small preparation room with a sink and refrigerator with easy access to our arena. Our covered arena and concession area cover more that 100,000 sq. ft. Both event buildings and the arena are available for rent for various private and company functions. The Houston Farm and Ranch is one of the only venues in the area which allows you to contribute to a 501 (c) 3 charity, not a corporation. We are willing to work with you or your event coordinator to plan an experience which will be remembered for a lifetime. The revenues from these rentals go directly into our General Operating Fund.
Our members are the backbone of the Houston Farm and Ranch. We have over 500 members that volunteer their time to work year round on one or more of our committees to ensure each event at Farm and Ranch is a success. It is their dedication and commitment that help make our community a better place to live and their generosity and tireless efforts that make the Houston Farm and Ranch a success. We are always looking for new members to serve the Houston Farm and Ranch. If you would like to become involved, please go to our membership page and submit a request to join.
