A review by Paresh Motiwala from Houston: Just go and watch it. You'll not regret it. Aashish Bhatt as the "Kaka" was just too good. Dhwani Shah, albeit possibly only 4' tall but carried herself very well with some stunning dresses; and yes she's drop dead gorgeous only to be matched with her performance. Following up the dialogues with famous Bollywood tunes and songs was a neat idea. So even if you are not very good at Gujarati, go see it, even if you understand 50% of it, you'll get a lot out of it.
Definitely 2.5 hours and money well spent.
Play synopsis: Rajesh Mehta, a person who lives his life on his own terms, is forced to leave home seeing the agony build up in his daughter in law. The story takes turn when widower Rajesh Mehta elopes the old age home with Sharmila, a 60 year old lady. This old couple has become a sensation and are the talk of the town. "Kaka ko kuch kuch hota hai" is a laughter ride proving that love can blossom even at old age. Is a must see play for theater lovers.
