About this Event

We at 'Natya Tarangini' Performing Arts Center are proud to inculcate in this global society, our rich Indian cultural traditions to promote health and prosperity for the mind, body and soul. With the unfortunate outbreak of the Corona Virus (Covid -19), we continue our efforts to promote a healthy and prosperous environment for our students and moreover to provide a sense of stability, positivity and balance to their daily lives in these unpredictable and worrying times.

Two weeks back we seamlessly transitioned into the digital world conducting regular online classes without giving a break to our disciple’s schedules. Classes have been very successful, fruitful and fulfilling to all of our lives and our students from across the globe. Consequently, as the lockdown and outbreak continues with uncertainty, we aim to provide a meditative, safe environment to people in their homes, giving a holistic exercise to their body, senses and to keep them healthy inside out. Students are welcome to enrol in our new batches starting Wednesday the 15th April, 2020 and meanwhile we propose a taste to one and all during this quarantine in quick and daily Kuchipudi exercises for practitioners and non-practitioners to initiate themselves and keep fit. We will go live every day 8am (IST) on Instagram.

‘Kuchipudi Exercises for All’ will be free and easily accessible for the entire globe, on Instagram Live, transcending all boundaries for a period of two weeks. This is our way of giving back to the society all the love and affection that they have given us throughout our journey of 50 years. Our daughter Bhavana Reddy who conceptualised and is facilitating this idea will be assisting us in exposing the dear Rasikas to this beautiful tradition of dance and drama - the discipline of Kuchipudi Indian Classical Dance. This is open for all and beneficial to dancers of all disciplines and having all levels of experience. For a beginner it is a new subject and for those who want to revisit Kuchipudi - it is a daily reintroduction and sadhna (practice). This is our ardent effort to nurture and create a healthy environment in our homes and to bring us all together through the peaceful and spiritually uplifting practice of Indian classical dance.
