The Princeton Elks first held meetings at the Princeton Knights of Columbus hall until April of 1960, when we Elks obtained the use of the Princeton Italian American Sportsmen Club. We continued to meet there until April of 1967, when we moved to the Reed Farmhouse on Route 206. The Reed Farm House location is presently the site of Burger King. In September of 1972, we moved to the present location on what was once the old Van Zant Farm and farm equipment dealership.
In 2009 with the Lodge greatly aging younger members began to take a positive interest in the organization and while continuing to carry on the important work of the prior generations they began major upgrades to the Elk home. Upgrading the interior dining halls and bathrooms and beginning work on the major systems of the Lodge. In 2011 Capitol improvements have continued with upgrades to the building facades, parking lot, Furnace systems and other areas. 2012 will continue to see many upgrades and improvements to the facility as the dedication continues to see this great facility see its potential.
