8200 Willow Street, New Orleans, LA
Jimmy's Music Club, located at 8200 Willow Street in New Orleans, Louisiana, is a historic live music venue renowned for its rich legacy in the city's music scene. Established in 1978 by Jimmy Anselmo, the club quickly became a cornerstone of New Orleans' musical culture. Notably, it served as the headquarters for the New Orleans punk scene during the 1980s, hosting influential acts like The Cold and Dash Rip Rock. Additionally, legendary artists such as The Neville Brothers, The Meters, and Kid Rock graced its stage, solidifying its status as a premier venue for live performances
After closing in 2005 due to the impacts of Hurricane Katrina, the venue remained dormant for nearly two decades. In April 2025, Christopher Jones, a former employee, acquired the property with plans to revitalize the club. Renovations commenced shortly thereafter, aiming to preserve the venue's historic charm while introducing modern amenities. The grand reopening is slated for late summer 2025, with a special concert scheduled for August 14, 2025.
