The Marsee Auditorium was opened in 1968 and named in honor of Stuart E. Marsee, President of El Camino College from 1958-1982. The Marsee Auditorium is a continental style multi-purpose performance venue with a floor capacity of 1238 seats and a balcony capacity of 810 seats (2048 seating capacity). The Marsee Auditorium is home to the Center for the Arts and houses the Campus Ticket Office, Center for the Arts Administration Offices, Production Management Offices, Faculty Offices, and a Band Rehearsal Room.
The Marsee Auditorium hosts Main Stage events and the Discovery Film Series for the Center for the Arts, as well as Fine Arts Division ensembles and events such as the ECC Symphony Orchestra, ECC Concert Band, ECC Jazz Ensembles, ECC Choirs, ECC Dance Concerts, Communication Studies events, and Film Screenings.
