Saumya Joshi is a celebrated figure in Gujarati theatre, known for his powerful storytelling, poetic depth, and socially resonant themes. Born in Ahmedabad in 1973, he began his career as a professor of English literature before transitioning full-time into theatre. Joshi is the founder of Fade-In Theatre and has written and directed several acclaimed plays, including Welcome Zindagi and 102 Not Out—the latter of which was adapted into a Hindi film starring Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor.
