Bismil, whose real name is Mohd Asif, is a modern Sufi singer, songwriter, and performer from Delhi, India. He is best known for his live show concept “Bismil Ki Mehfil”, where he and his band present soulful Sufi, qawwali, and ghazal based music for today’s audience. Born on 19 May 1994, Bismil grew up in a family that loved music, and he started learning at a very young age.

From the age of five, he trained seriously in classical and Sufi music. He learnt from respected maestros of both the Moradabad and Delhi gharanas, including Ustaad Mohd Ahmed Qadri, Ustaad Iqbal Ahmed Khan, and Ustaad Aftab Ahmed Khan. For 2025, Bismil has announced a major “Main Hoon Sufi” India Tour, which will take Bismil Ki Mehfil to many cities across the country from October to December.
