Govind Arun Ahuja, also known by the stage name Govinda, was born on December 21, 1963. Having starred in more than 120 films since his 1986 debut, Govinda has made a lasting impression on Bollywood and gained a reputation as one of the most gifted actors in the business. He is well-known for his amazing dance skills and is praised for his humorous roles, which make him a unique actor in Bollywood.
Govinda's perseverance and unwavering work ethic catapulted him to success and helped him establish himself as a premier actor. Among his noteworthy partnerships are his several projects with director David Dhawan, with whom he had a fruitful 18-movie cooperation mainly focused on comedic films. Famous movies like "Shola Aur Shabnam" (1992), "Aankhen" (1993), "Raja Babu" (1994), and "Hero No. 1" (1997) were produced as a result of their cooperation.
Beyond his comedic skills, Govinda tried his hand at a variety of roles. One of his most notable performances was as a villain in the 2000 movie "Shikari," for which he received praise from critics.
