Habib Wahid is a Bangladeshi music composer and singer. He is the son of composer Ferdous Wahid.[1][2] Habib gained prominence in the early 2000s with his unique fusion of traditional Bangladeshi folk music and contemporary pop elements, earning him widespread acclaim in the country.[3] He is considered the core pioneer of modern pop music in Bangladesh.[4]
He became popular in 2003 with his debut album, Krishno, which was an instant hit. Throughout his career, Habib Wahid has released numerous hit singles[5] and albums, including Shono (2008) and Moina Go (2005), establishing himself as one of the leading figures in the Bangladeshi music industry. He won the Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Music Director for the film Projapoti (2011).
