Humera Channa Biography

Humera Channa started her artistic career in 1980. She graduated from Karachi. Her God-gifted abilities and untiring devotion gave her prominent and unique popularity in the field of music. She got her musical education from Ustad Bashir Ahmed Khan (Late) and Nisar Bazmi (Late). She started her career from Pakistan Television in a program “Sindh Singhar” by singing Sufi kalam of Hazrat Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai. She proved her skills at PTV, Radio Pakistan, Arts Council of Pakistan, Stage and Film and recorded her songs with all private channels of Pakistan. Till now, she has sung more than 5000 songs..

Although Humera Channa sang in almost every language spoken in Pakistan but some of the languages in which her songs became significantly popular include Urdu, Punjabi, Sindhi, Balochi, Pashto, Saraiki, Marwari, Thai and Bengali. This is an honor which very few singers of Pakistan have.
