Indian stand-up comedian and YouTube star Atul Naraindas Khatri. He was listed by CNN-IBN as one of the best Indian comedians, and in September 2014, he was the sole Indian to appear at the Hong Kong International Comedy Festival. He also triumphed in Season 1 of CEO's Got Talent.
Early life and education:
He attended St. Theresa's Boys High School and afterwards graduated from TSEC, University of Mumbai, with a Bachelor of Engineering. The Manchester Business School in Manchester, England awarded him a certificate in business administration as well.
His mother is from Karachi, and his family is Sindhi.
After completing his education, he became the chief executive officer of the family-run computer company Kaytek Computer Services Private Limited. At the age of 43, Khatri continued to run his business while also becoming a comedian.
In 2011, Khatri wanted to have a different career since he was bored and his wife had urged him to do so. He initially intended to enrol in classes to become a barman, then subsequently a DJ, but he chose not to pursue either career. He began by sharing jokes on Facebook before transitioning to stand-up comedy. He rose to fame after taking home Fremantle Media's "CEO's Got Talent" prize. Khatri has performed over 400 YouTube videos and television commercials. Khatri also placed among the top three at the 2012 Delhi edition of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. Khatri plays with East India Comedy, at The Comedy Store, and the Canvas Laugh Factory. He also gave a performance in San Francisco for an American India Foundation fundraising event.
