Ustad Rashid Khan is a renowned Indian classical musician known for his mastery of Hindustani classical music. He was born on July 1, 1966, in Badayun, Uttar Pradesh, India, into a family of musicians. His father, Ustad Sharafat Ali Khan, was a famous classical singer, and Rashid Khan was initiated into the art of music at a very young age under his father's guidance.
Ustad Rashid Khan's singing style is deeply rooted in the Kirana gharana, which is one of the oldest and most respected schools of Hindustani classical music. He is known for his soulful and emotive voice, which has a unique timbre and a range that spans three octaves.
