Dr Jagdish Trivedi Biography
Dr. Jagdish Labhshanker Trivedi, born on October 12, 1967, in Wadhwan, Surendranagar district, Gujarat, is a distinguished Indian humorist, author, poet, actor, philosopher, and philanthropist. Despite academic challenges during his high school years, he later earned three PhD degrees, showcasing his dedication to learning.
Renowned for his mastery of the traditional Gujarati art form of Dairo, Dr. Trivedi has performed over 3,000 shows across 28 countries, significantly contributing to the global promotion of Gujarati culture.
His literary contributions include authoring 72 books, producing 100 DVDs, and creating 450 videos.
In recognition of his contributions to literature and the arts, he was honored with the Padma Shri, India's fourth-highest civilian award, in 2024.
His philanthropic efforts are noteworthy; he pledged to donate ₹11 crore, primarily for educational and medical facilities for the underprivileged, and has already contributed ₹13 crore over seven years.
His initiatives include building and donating nine school buildings, seven public libraries, and a child malnutrition center.
Dr. Trivedi's life and work exemplify a profound commitment to cultural preservation, education, and social welfare, making him a respected figure both in India and internationally.
