Karthik was born on November 7, 1980 His love of music began at a young age. Originating from Chennai, India. He received training in Carnatic music, providing a solid groundwork for his upcoming musical pursuits.
As Kartik started out as a supporting vocalist, music directors quickly saw his skill and brought him to prominence. The chance to sing an alap for A.R. Rahman's background score was his big break. Karthik's career took off at this point, and he went on to sing over a thousand songs in a variety of Indian languages, including Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi.
