Ria Nilawar Biography
Ria Nilawar is a business entrepreneur, singer, and community leader whose journey reflects a unique blend of professional achievement, artistic passion, and service. With over 20 years of experience, she has built a successful career in business while nurturing a lifelong love for music.
Hailing from a musical family from Mumbai, Ria began her musical journey at a young age and has evolved into one of the Bay Area's most recognized and versatile singers. Her repertoire spans semi-classical melodies, timeless Bollywood classics, and contemporary favorites, allowing her to connect with audiences across generations. Known for her dynamic stage presence and expressive vocals, she has performed extensively with leading Bay Area live bands at public events, cultural programs, and private gatherings.
One of the highlights of Ria's musical career was performing as one of the opening acts for Bhajan Samrat Shri Anup Jalota. More recently, she has been actively involved with the Central Valley Marathi Mandal, performing at several of their events. She has also served as a judge at various talent competitions, inspiring aspiring performers through her experience and passion for the arts.
Ria is deeply committed to community service and education beyond the stage. She supports charitable causes through her music, including her work with Read Across India and Balodyan, dedicated to expanding educational opportunities for underserved children in the country. She has spent over 11 years volunteering as a Hindi and Marathi teacher, helping preserve language, culture, and heritage for the next generation.
Whether in her professional career, on stage, or in service to her community, Ria brings passion, authenticity, and purpose to everything she does. She has earned warm audience appreciation over the years, further strengthening her presence in the Bay Area music community.
