S. P. Charan Biography
Playback singer, actor, producer, and director Sripathi Panditharadhyula Charan is well known for his work in Tamil and Telugu movies.
He is the famed vocalist S. P. Balasubrahmanyam's son. He started out performing in Tamil and Telugu as a playback singer. He made his acting debut in the 2003 Kannada film Hudugigagi, but his work in the 2008 film Saroja is what made him famous. He founded the Capital Film Works film production firm, which has produced a number of Tamil movies, including the National Film Award-winning Aaranya Kaandam and the 2007 cult hit Chennai 600028.
