The departure time varies with the seasons so you have time to see the countryside on the way out. Our Executive Chef prepares excellent meals that are considered some of the best in the Central Valley . Because of our commitment to quality, the Sierra Railroad is considered one of the five best dinner trains in the West. For a bit of romance, our open-air patio at the end of the train was voted the region's best place to steal a kiss! After dinner, you may relax in your well-furnished dining coach or retire to our Lounge Car that features a full bar and dance floor.

Beef Tenderloin Medallion: Twin 3 oz beef tenderloin medallions with mashed potatoes and topped with portobello mushrooms, tomatoes, smoked bacon mixture, and finished with gorgonzola crumbles and a light au jus sauce.
Mediterranean Chicken: Seared chicken breast topped with sun dried tomatoes, artichoke hearts, olives, button mushrooms, and finished with feta cheese crumbles, balsamic syrup and basil oil. Served with mashed potatoes.
Seared Salmon: Seared salmon atop a bed of rice pilaf and finished with a basil-dill cream sauce.
