Sumeet Tappoo is an award-winning recording and international performing artist who has captured the hearts of millions of people globally with his soulful voice. Born in Fiji on 31st August 1978 to Mahendra & Maya Tappoo. Married to Dr. Krupali Tappoo and have two daughters Saisha and Meera.

Sumeet Tappoo is an internationally acclaimed Indian-origin singer and philanthropist hailing from Fiji, whose musical journey transcends borders and genres. With a powerful blend of soulful expression and spiritual depth, Sumeet has carved a unique identity in the global music scene—specializing in Bollywood, ghazals, bhajans, Sufi, and devotional music.

From humble beginnings in Suva, Fiji, where he gave his first public performance at the age of 8, Sumeet has grown into a global artist who has performed at over 1,100 concerts worldwide, including tours across the United States, Canada, UK, India, Australia, Africa, Europe, and the Middle East. His collaborations with legends such as Anup Jalota, Sunidhi Chauhan, and Meenal Jain, as well as his performances in front of iconic personalities like Amitabh Bachchan, have earned him widespread acclaim.

Sumeet holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business and an MBA with Distinction from the University of Technology, Sydney. However, his true calling lay in the world of music and service. After moving to Mumbai in 2004, he dedicated himself to spiritual and Bollywood music, releasing over 30 albums to date and winning prestigious awards including the CLEF Music Awards, InterContinental Music Awards, and the Lions Gold Awards.

In recognition of his dual contributions to art and society, he was conferred Fiji’s highest civilian honor—The Companion of the Order of Fiji (CF)—in 2025.

Beyond the stage, Sumeet is a tireless humanitarian. He serves as the Chairman of Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Children's Hospital in Fiji, a cardiac super-specialty hospital offering completely free heart surgeries to children across the South Pacific. Under his guidance, the hospital has transformed countless lives. He is also the Director of Sai Prema Foundation Fiji, which focuses on healthcare, nutrition, education, and social service. His service is deeply inspired by the teachings of Sadguru Sri Madhusudan Sai.

A family man, Sumeet is married to Dr. Krupali Tappoo, and together they have two daughters, Saisha and Meera. Known for his humility, spiritual devotion, and artistic excellence, Sumeet Tappoo stands as a beacon of how music can be a medium not only for entertainment, but for healing, devotion, and change.
